These are the results of the September 13, 2009 banding session at Ritter Farm Park in Lakeville, MN. This was the second banding session of the fall season. There will be one more session in the fall to monitor the migrants passing south through Minnesota.
The weather today wasjust about perfect for banding. We were able to set nets in the regular net lanes and we had several visitors with us to help out. It was still but warm with afternoon temperatures reaching 80+. The totals for the day are classic fall numbers. Lots of birds but no one species dominates. Lots of singles and doubles. We ended the day with 13 species including some obvious migrants.
