The Saturday program held at the Lowry Nature Center in Carver Park Reserve was warm and dry. Activity around the area was very quiet and we worked hard to catch the birds we did. We had hoped the banding would have more variety but it appears the migration hasn't really picked up yet in the Twin Cities area. The prediction of warm weather all this week probably means any big movements of birds south will be more toward the end of the month.

The next scheduled banding session is on Sept. 20, 2008.
